VaseThis is my vase project. It stands 5 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide. The glaze used was raku, this runs through the kiln and turns a rainbow metallic color. A skill that I used when making the vase was being able to shape the edges and create a rounded center. Color creates the dynamic with all of the colors. The vase is meant to give off a groovy calm feel and also a home to my cactus that im going to put in it.

Small vaseThis is my small vase. The vase stands 5 1/2 inches tall and about an 1 1/2 wide. I threw the vase with porcelain, then i painted seaweed like plants on the bottom of the vase. While throwing with porcelain i learned how to properly throw and be gentle with the porcelain clay. The seaweed around the bottom creates line, where the line creates pattern on the vase. The porcelain clay and seaweed creates a calm sea bottom.

Tall cylinderThis is my tall cylinder. It stands 8 1/2 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide. I glazed it by making shadow green the base and then Sydney blue over the top. When pulling the wall i learned how to pull and choke the walls to make the project taller. When making my next tall project i will use sections instead. The cracks of the blue creates texture. With the green and blue it emphasizes the texture. This tall project is for kurig coffee packs. Also gives a calm feel.
This is my bowl # 1! It is about 3 in tall with a blue and white swirl. The skill that I used was creating a defined line to pull the walls from the bottom up. The color emphasizes the movement on my project. The mood of my project is to give a beach like feel.
This is my cup with a handle. It stands 4 inches high and 4 inches wide. It was glazed with a Sydney blue as a base color and white drips down in the center of the cup. The value of the cup creates movement in the center of the cup. This cup will be used for my morning tea to make me in a happy mood!(:
